Still not sure? Here are the questions we get asked most often about our Shopify work.
How long does it take to build a Shopify store?
+
Most stores take between 4–8 weeks from kick-off to launch. A smaller Launch Store is typically 3–4 weeks. A larger Growth Store with lots of products and integrations is usually 6–10 weeks. We'll give you a precise timeline in your proposal — and we stick to it.
Do I need to pay for Shopify on top of your fee?
+
Yes — Shopify is a hosted platform with its own monthly subscription, starting from around £19/month. Our fee covers the design and build of your store; the Shopify subscription is paid directly by you to Shopify. We'll help you choose the right plan for your needs during the discovery call.
Can you migrate my existing store to Shopify?
+
Yes. We handle migrations from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix, Squarespace, and other platforms. We migrate your products, collections, customer data, and order history, and implement a full SEO redirect strategy to protect your search rankings during the transition.
Will I be able to manage the store myself after launch?
+
Absolutely. Shopify's admin dashboard is one of the most intuitive in the industry — and we include a full training session as part of every project. You'll be able to add products, manage orders, run discounts, and fulfil shipments with confidence from day one.
Do you use Shopify themes or build custom?
+
We design and build custom Shopify themes from scratch. We don't buy and reskin off-the-shelf themes — every store we build is unique to your brand. This results in faster load times, cleaner code, and a design that stands out rather than looking like everyone else's Shopify store.
Can you help with Shopify apps and integrations?
+
Yes. We can recommend, install, and configure apps for reviews (Judge.me, Loox), email marketing (Klaviyo, Omnisend), loyalty programmes (Smile.io), live chat, subscriptions, and more. We only recommend apps that are genuinely worth the investment for your type of store.
What's the difference between Shopify and WooCommerce?
+
Shopify is a hosted, all-in-one platform — simpler to manage, very reliable, and built specifically for ecommerce. WooCommerce is a plugin for WordPress — more flexible and customisable, but requires more maintenance. The right choice depends on your products, technical confidence, and growth plans. We're happy to talk through both and give an honest recommendation during a discovery call.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
+
Every project includes a post-launch support period (14 days on Launch, 1 month on Growth, 3 months on Enterprise). Beyond that, we offer ongoing support retainers and are always available for ad-hoc work — whether that's adding new products, running promotions, or making design changes.
